Understanding cooking with the pressure fryer that started it all.

The history of Winston Industries and KFC begins in 1967. Winston founder, Winston Shelton, is the co-owner of Engineering Prototype Services. He worked there as an engineer while working full-time as a development engineer at General Electric. His company was hired by KFC to take temperature measurements of chickens roasted in their home’s tin cans (called tins). While working on the KFC program, Winston was fascinated by the problems KFC faced in the kitchen.
