In 1950 Lang moved their focus to commercial kitchen equipment and in 1960, Lang developed the first commercial electric convection oven. In the decades following their successful transition to the commercial market, Lang developed 2-sided Clamshell griddle cooking technology (1980s), the weight-of-the-plate cheesemelter (1970s), along with numerous advancements in their oven, range, and marine offerings. Acquired by Middleby in 2006, Lang is a leader in commercial cooking and marine galley equipment.
